Have you ever visited Coffee Apartment in Ho Chi Minh city?

This was an apartment building used by American soldiers that has been converted to restaurants and shops. It costs 3,000 dong (.13 US dollars) to ride the elevator up and down. We went to Saigon Oi and had an egg coffee on their balcony watching the busy square below. It was a cute experience

Love, love, love The cafe Apartments. Took the family here not really knowing what to expect. Hubby and kids 19 and 17 also thought it was awesome.
What a wonderful use of space. Lots of fabulous, funky little cafes and beautiful little shops filled with gorgeous product, unique perfumes, beauty items, gifts. We had a field day exploring and buying. There is small fee for going in the lift but apparently the shops refund it, But seriously, who cares (I think if was under $10). Big tip, take the lift to the top floor and work your way down the stairs through each level. Yes the stairs have some graffiti but it is uber cool. The building has a unique history, including providing offices and accommodation to Americans during the War. Great views over District 1. I was excited to clamp eyes on The Rex Hotel and other famous landmarks from one of the cafe balconies.

the cafe looks azazing with nice view. its good for a cuppa to sit and relax and chill overall not bad just that its a little run down to the access to it

Been here for my Coffee Journey and although one can see how run down the place is (especially the stairs and an old fashioned Lift which add to the old nostalgic feeling) but each floor (all 9 floor of them) actually is unique in their own ways.
You will find that there are other shops as well on each floor which includes beauty salons, a fashion boutique and restaurants.
You can either opt to walk the stairs or take the lift (at a cost but don't worry as many shops and cafes in the building will reimburse the elevator fee when you make a purchase).
