Potential for developing tourism on Ba Den Mountain
Ba Den Mountain in Tay Ninh province is renowned for its spiritual and eco-tourism products, which have made the mountain a tourist magnet in the locality in particular and the southern region in general.
To reach the summit of Ba Den, tourists need to take a 10-minute trip on a cable car over imposing landscapes of mountains and dense forests. They then need to climb a few dozen stone steps before reaching the peak and posing for cool Instagrammable photos amid a sea of clouds.
Ba Den Mountain is over 100 km to the northwest of Ho Chi Minh City. The 24 sq m complex covers an intricate system of mysterious caves, pagodas, and temples, making it a favourite venue for pilgrims. The Ba Den Mountain Festival in the first lunar month sees pilgrims come and pray for a prosperous and peaceful year ahead.
The Ba Den tourism site has been continually upgraded over recent years. With a cable car system, electric cars, and even a resort, it is now an ideal getaway for visitors.
