‘Rose land’ on Fansipan on April 30

Lasting one month, from April 23 to May 23, the 2022 Fansipan Rose Festival has a large scale and many art events rich in Northwest identity.

The event is within the framework of Sa Pa Summer Festival 2022, first held in the Rose Valley with a scale of 50,000 m2, belonging to Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area of ​​Sun Group. The festival gathers more than 10,000 climbing roses, more than 1.5 hectares of Sa Pa ancient roses and nearly 100 infrared varieties from many countries such as England, France, Japan…

According to the organizers, there will be a rare space for a unique rose festival like in Fansipan, when the mist in the early morning or late afternoon will cover and embrace brilliant flower clusters, like clouds in bloom. Therefore, this year’s festival has the theme “Rose land in the clouds”.

Going to the festival is lost in the colorful and fragrant scenery of hundreds of species of roses leading the way, from the entrance to the rose valley and throughout the tourist area. The most unique are the red and pink climbing roses – the “specialty” of Sapa on the occasion of April – May.

On the roads to Sa Pa town, visitors can already see the “rose signs” on the archways, the streetside, the central lakeside… Sa Pa roses bloom in clusters of pink and red. Each cluster of flowers is laden with hundreds of flowers, forming crimson and pale pink domes that fascinate tourists every summer. This year, Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area is like a gathering point of Sa Pa climbing roses, when more than 10,000 climbing roses will bloom throughout the resort.

Starting the journey to Sun World Fansipan Legend from Sa Pa town by Muong Hoa mountain train, visitors will encounter climbing roses covered and blooming like wearing the scenery of pink silk ribbons on both sides of the train.

Stepping out of the station to the mountain train, to the campus outside the station to take the Fansipan cable car, a whole sky of overwhelming roses opened. Sa Pa climbing roses are red, wearing heart-shaped, dome-shaped scenes, prominent in the valley. According to the representative of the resort, this year’s Sa Pa climbing roses bloom earlier and more brilliantly than every year, reaching the most ripe on the holidays of April 30 and May 1.

In addition to the “queen” of climbing roses, Sa Pa ancient roses this season are also in the wrong flower season. In the resort’s premises, visitors will be photographed next to the ancient persimmons with a canopy up to several meters wide, at the same time blooming hundreds of flowers. There are ancient persimmon roots that are a few dozen to hundreds of years old, brought back by the resort from remote villages of Sa Pa.

Showing off their fragrance with native roses are more than 100 types of inflorescences, including rare and difficult varieties to grow such as “million dollar rose” Juliet, Aoi rose, Black Baccara rose, Catalina, Golden Celebration , Maurice Utrillo, Rouge Royale, Eclair, Spirit of Freedom…

Within the framework of the festival, many activities and events will take place, revolving around the theme “Land of Roses in the Clouds”. One of the highlights that promises to attract the attention of visitors is the parade of roses.

In two fixed time frames, morning and afternoon of the first day of the festival, April 23, the parade includes 48 flower carts decorated with roses grown at the resort with the control of the troupe. Members in traditional costumes of Sa Pa ethnic groups will depart from the cable car station and go through the streets of the town center. During the journey, the floats and actors will stop at 3 points, namely Aha Cafe, San Quan and Sun Plaza Cau May, so that visitors can take pictures and watch artists perform by the floats.

The main stage of the festival on the campus of the cable car station by the rose valley will constantly take visitors through different levels of emotions. It can be the feeling of amazement at the space made of millions of roses, jubilation at the artistic performances of roses, or the curiosity to discover and then fall in love with the Northwest culture, through the performance excerpts. reenactment of the wedding of the Red Dao people staged by the Lao Cai Provincial Cultural and Arts Union.

The festive atmosphere is not only jubilant in the rose valley, where millions of roses bloom. Spread throughout the resort are miniatures and grand scenes made from roses. The swings blooming with roses, fountains or hearts made from roses… create many check-in spaces only available in Fansipan.

In addition to the rose car parade, within the framework of the 2022 Fansipan Rose Festival, there will also be the 4th “Horses in the Clouds” race, held from April 29 to May 2, with the competition of The 30 best jockeys in the Northwest come from Na Hoi – Bac Ha, Simacai, Tuyen Quang, Bat Xat – Lao Cai.

In the setting amidst the rose sky, visitors will enjoy horse racing. Interspersed with thrilling races in the morning, there will be a brilliant parade in the afternoon of racing teams, with flags and flowers. The festival promises to bring special experiences to visitors.

Sharing about the first rose festival held at Sun World Fansipan Legend, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Chien, director of the resort, said that during the days of stopping receiving guests because of the epidemic, this unit has put all its efforts. to bring visitors to Sapa a rose paradise.

According to the representative of the resort, after the rose festival, it is expected that from July to September this year, Sun World Fansipan Legend will bring the show “Dance in the clouds” back. In 2019, Dance on the Clouds set a record “Art show showing the most unique Northwestern cultural characteristics in Vietnam”.
