First opened in August of 2017, FLC Halong Bay Golf Club is located 162 km (100 mi) to the east of Hanoi. With 18 holes and a par 71 for the course, the vantage point from many of these greens gives players panoramic, sweeping views of the world-famous Ha Long Bay. There are 6,092 yds/18,276 ft of playable turf, which is comprised of durable Paspalum grass that holds up in all seasons.

The difficulty of this course can vary, even for the most experienced players, due to the unpredictable sea breezes and misty weather that might float over from the ocean. The FLC Halong Bay Clubhouse is 2,000 sq m (21,528 sq ft) and has lockers, a pro shop, and an ample seating area. There is also a driving range, places to eat, a putting area, and three kiosks placed at holes.

The golf club is affiliated with the FLC Halong Bay Resort, and visitors may book golf packages if they want to spend multiple days on the greens. The accommodations offered include 301 villa suits situated on a hill near the famous UNESCO World Heritage site.
