In the bonsai gardens here, many households have to hire dozens of people to take care of and transport trees at the end of the year.

Mr. Tran Luan, owner of the Royal Garden, Tu Lien Ward, Tay Ho District, said that on a normal day, his family also maintains 4-5 workers. At the end of the year, we have to hire more people to take care of and transport customers.

“Usually hiring a person is only about 300-350 thousand VND/day, but on Tet holiday, it has to increase to 500-700 thousand/person/day. Even sometimes it is acceptable to spend millions but can’t hire someone to do it.” .($1=25,000 VND)

Ha Thi Ve (from Thai Binh province) shared that on the occasion of Tet, the work never ends, but in return, she has more income to take care of the full Tet holiday.

Many employees share that, if they try to take advantage of their time, some people can earn tens of millions of dong in just one month at the end of the year thanks to the conversion of peaches and kumquats.
