Piazza San Marco, commonly known as St Mark’s Square or La Piazza, is Venice’s main public square, which forms the social, religious and political center of the city. From this square, you can go anywhere in the city because there are many alleys with signs directing you back to La Piazza. This is also where you’ll find some of the best restaurants.
