When still intact, there were about 10 works in the palace in order from front to back: Boat dock, Main gate, Trung Lap communal house, Khai Tuong floor, Cuu Tu Dai theater, animal barn, lake … Of course, under the impact of time and the devastation of the war, the palace currently has only 3 buildings with fairly intact structures: the Main Gate, the Trung Lap Palace and the Khai Tuong floor.
The main gate of the palace is designed in a three-dimensional style, consists of two floors and is decorated with highly elaborate embossed porcelain.

This is the most important architectural work of An Dinh Palace
The floor is very elaborately decorated, especially the first floor’s interior with murals of high artistic value.
Prominent in the main hall are 6 ornate paintings on the wall panels, solemn borders, carvings of apricot flowers, lotus leaves stylized meticulously and carefully. Although the character’s name is not clearly stated, many visitors can still guess that the paintings are the real perspective of the five mausoleums of the 5 kings: Gia Long, Minh Mang, Thieu Tri, Tu Duc, Dong Khanh; Only picture 6 (from the inside out) is still unclear about what works.

An Dinh Palace is a testament to the harmonious combination between traditional decorative themes such as the four-quarter, four-element spirit, the bowl of buu, and the European styles such as Roman style, Bac Dau Boi Tinh …
The design and decoration of the palace makes visitors feel lost in a European castle
In 2001, An Dinh Palace was restored and honored to be in the list of places to organize Hue Festival 2002. In particular, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany sponsored € 17,000 for the restoration of 6 rare murals. in the lobby of the Khai Tuong floor in 2003.
