Saint Vincent Hotel located in Lower Garden District, New Orleans is the turning point of Liz Lambert – One of the famous hoteliers in New York. In 2019, she left the hotel service company she founded – Bunkhouse Group. This hotel is the debut project of McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality – A start-up company, run by Liza Lambert and some of her friends.

The ancient appearance of the Saint Vincent hotel.

Lambert first noticed the building that would become a new 75-room hotel in 2014. She said: “I was surprised when I first saw this building. I fell in love with this place at first sight.”

The balcony is made of handcrafted wrought iron.

The Saint Vincent Building was built in 1861 by an Irish businessman and philanthropist – Margaret Haughery. This place was used as an orphanage and shelter for single mothers until the 1970s.

When Lambert came across this place, it had become a ruined house. However, the red brick architecture and hand-crafted wrought iron balconies piqued her interest.

Liza Lambert didn’t completely remodel the place. She liked the politeness and timeless beauty of the place. She wanted to convey ‘a sense of dignified history with a modern layer of colour’. Therefore, she kept the old, solemn look of the 19th century. In order to keep the hotel space from being boring, she brought elaborate Italian details into the furniture.

The deep tones create a feeling of luxury but no less warm.

Saint Vincent Hotel is more than just a place to stay. This is a semi-classical work of art. On the outside, this place is an ancient wall, majestic and mysterious, but inside, this place is full of elegance, elegance and modernity.
