Journey to find the wild beauty of Buon Ma Thuot mountain town

Not only known as the “Capital of Coffee”, Buon Ma Thuot city (Dak Lak) is also known for the image of elephants, white flowing waterfalls, communal houses and many places to visit. attractive wild and majestic beauty.
Buon Ma Thuot has two distinct rainy and sunny seasons. The rainy season starts from May to October. The dry season starts from November to April next year. In particular, March is the coffee flower season and November is the season of yellow wildflowers blooming here.

From Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, you can get to Buon Ma Thuot by car, bus or plane. When you arrive in the city center, you can choose to take a taxi or rent a motorbike by day to travel to the attractions.
The first destination in Minh Quang’s journey is the cluster of 3 falls: Dray Sap – Dray Nur – Gia Long, located about 25km from the city center. Coming here, you will be admired the majestic natural scenery with clear water streams, pouring down from above white foam.
This cluster of 3 falls is located on the famous Serepok. From Dray Nur waterfall, you can walk to Gia Long waterfall or move over 10 km to the main area of Dray Sap waterfall.
Besides visiting, visitors here can also experience a cool bath in small rock holes or organize a camping trip by the waterfall.
According to Minh Quang, the way to here is quite difficult, along the way, there are many beautiful scenes around so you can stop to take pictures.
On the second day of the journey, Minh Quang decided to get up early to visit Yang-tao Elephant Stone, about 40km from the city center.
This is a large rock of granite, shaped like an elephant, symbol of the mountains and forests of the Central Highlands. If you climb on top of the rock, you will see the panoramic view of the fields and the corner of Chu Yang Sin forest.
Being here from early morning, Minh Quang shared: “I climbed to the top when it was still dark, wait a while, the fog covered and it was brighter. It is true that photographing fog is also different, looking ghostly but still exuding the majesty of nature ”.
From Yang-tao Elephant Stone, Minh Quang moved to Lak lake, located about 15km away. This is the second largest natural freshwater lake in Vietnam, after Ba Be Lake (Bac Kan).
Coming to Lak lake, you can not only feel the peaceful beauty, but also participate in exciting experiences such as elephant riding for 300,000 VND / elephant and 400,000 VND / elephant. go big round.

Leaving Lak lake, Minh Quang visits Kotam eco-tourism. After lunch and rest, Minh Quang continues his tour at the World Coffee Museum located on Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, right in the city center.
The museum was built in the style of modern European architecture combined with the Tay Nguyen stilt house design. Here there are more than 10,000 coffee-related items through many historical and cultural periods around the world.
The museum is divided into several areas including an exhibition area, a light library, an event area, and an outdoor coffee area. If you only enjoy coffee and take pictures in the outside area, you won’t lose your admission ticket.
From the World Coffee Museum, Minh Quang moved to visit Sac Tu Khai Doan pagoda. This is the largest temple in the city and the whole of Dak Lak province.
The pagoda is called Khai Doan because it is compounded from the name of King Khai Dinh and his wife Queen Doan Huy. The temple has an architectural style of Hue imperial palace mixed with modern architecture.
At the end of the afternoon, Minh Quang chose to stop by Buon Ma Thuot coffee book street to visit and take pictures. It is divided into reading, coffee and souvenir areas.
On the last day of the journey, Minh Quang got up early and moved to Ea Kao Lake, located about 10km from the city center, to catch the sunrise.
Although this is an artificial lake, the lake’s space still bears pristine features. Under the lake bed is a diverse ecosystem with many freshwater fish and shrimp species.
From Ea Kao Lake, Minh Quang continues to go to Ea Kao Lake eco farm to visit and take pictures and then come to Trung Nguyen coffee village before returning to finish the trip.
Trung Nguyen Coffee Village is not only a famous place to buy coffee but also designed as a miniature park with beautiful landscapes. At this point, you may not need to buy any products, do not need to drink water in the restaurant, you can still enter and take pictures for free.
