In Hanoi, the Keangnam Landmark Tower 72, also known as the AON Hanoi Landmark Tower, is the city’s tallest building. Providing excellent views of the surrounding area, this building was once the tallest in the country.

Now the second largest, after the Landmark 81 in Ho Chi Minh City, Landmark 72 is still a popular place for business and leisure in Hanoi. It measures 329 meters (1,078 feet) and 349 meters (1,145 feet) to tip.

Tallest Building in Hanoi

This mega skyscraper is located in the South Liem District in Hanoi, Vietnam. Located just outside of downtown Hanoi, Keangnam Landmark Tower 72 is actually a part of a larger complex on the Pham Hung Boulevard.

With no other major structures around Landmark 72, visitors are greeted with uninterrupted views of the city and surrounding landscape.

Design

Part of a complex, Keangnam Landmark Tower 72 is actually comprised of three towers. The main and tallest tower is a multi-use structure that is focused on business and entertainment. Two smaller towers, positioned off to the side, serve as private residences.

To tie all three towers together, there is a unified base. Similar in design to a podium, the base features stores and a cinema to entertain guests.

From the base, three individual towers ascend into the sky. The two smaller towers are identical in appearance, while the largest tower features its own unique architecture. Showcasing a construction of glass and concrete, the towers have a modernistic appeal.

The two smaller towers are 48 stories and are more distinct in appearance, with a concrete façade and large glass windows. As to provide an unobstructed view, the 72-story tower is constructed of mostly glass.

To complete the complex, there is underground parking and ample garden. The neatly landscaped green space provides a pleasant area where visitors can walk or relax in a little piece of urban nature.

Observation Deck

Designed to give you a bird’s eye view of Hanoi, the Keangnam Landmark Tower’s observation deck, called Landmark Sky72, sits at the top of the complex’s tallest tower.

Dominating the upper floors, and ending on the 72nd story, the observation deck is the highlight of many visitors’ trips to Hanoi. Open daily at 8:30 am, visitors can enjoy the views both day and night.

Featuring large glass windows and floors, the experience on top of Landmark 72 goes beyond just looking. Designed to be an interactive experience, there are plenty of activities to participate in at the observation deck.

The most popular experiences include games, movies, and 3D photography. A Vpresso cafe is also at the top, so visitors can enjoy snacks and refreshments.

With a dynamic layout, the various parts of Landmark 72’s complex are geared towards different activities. Floors closer to the ground are reserved for retail, meanwhile, the middle and upper floors are for private residences, offices, a hotel, and the observation deck.

Retail Therapy

At the base of the three towers, visitors will find different retail options and a cinema. Unlike other shopping centers in Hanoi, the Landmark 72 features mostly local and regional brands. However, a variety of departments ensure that shoppers have all their needs covered.

With unique and luxury items, the tower’s shopping center is a great place to pick up a few souvenirs. If you get tired of shopping and want to sit back and relax for a little while, head to the Lotte Cinema. International visitors should be aware that most titles are screened in Vietnamese.

Furthermore, there are a few dining establishments, like the well-received 3 Spoons and Biwon in the complex. It should be noted that most establishments in the mall aren’t meant to serve multi-course meals and are considered fast food. If you are looking for something more high-end, head into the main tower.

The Angel-in-Us is another cute café and for a little home comfort, there is even a Starbucks Coffee.

Luxurious Homes

Both of Landmark 72’s smaller towers are mostly residential and while the towers may not reach the 72nd floor, the dual 48 story structures still provide amazing views of the city.

This 5-star establishment is a full-service hotel, boasting an outdoor pool, gym, and a renowned spa. If you’re feeling a bit tense, booking a therapy session is an excellent way to melt your stress away.

Finally, guests can enjoy a meal or drink from the hotel’s various establishments. With two full-service restaurants and a lobby bar, guests definitely won’t go hungry. Additionally, the social scene provides guests with entertainment as they mingle in the clouds.

Restaurants and Bars

The Keangnam Landmark Tower 72’s best restaurants and bars are a part of the InterContinental’s establishment. Open to the public, you don’t have to be a guest at the hotel to enjoy a meal or drink at one of the restaurants or bars.

Various eating establishments around the area include smaller restaurants, and while these restaurants aren’t often tied to an international chain, they still receive rave reviews.

Featuring local flavors and Asian spices, the smaller restaurants in Landmark 72’s complex are still tasty and high-quality. Look out for places like Nhà Hàng Cô Cung or the Nhà Hàng Gojumong Luxury Restaurant for a bite to eat.
