This place is called Go Cong Governor’s Palace, also known as Chanh Tham Bao Go Cong Palace. Previously, the Governor’s Palace was one of the largest public offices in Go Cong. The work was built by the French in 1885, then it was considered the most majestic and prestigious in the South at that time.

Possessing a usable area of ​​up to 1,400m2, Go Cong Governor’s Palace is located in a spacious campus surrounded by many shady trees. The building impresses with its classic design with striking yellow walls next to beautiful green windows.

All materials are transported from France, built on the majestic architecture, the authority of a massive building first invested in the southern province of the old province.

After 137 years of existence along with many historical events, the once flashy Go Cong Governor’s Palace has now given way to layers of moss and traces of time.

The yellow walls are now mostly peeled off, in some places exposed bricks, the green door frames no longer retain their brilliance in the corners of the balconies covered with wild vines. The stairs are quiet, opposite the door that is always closed, making the space covering the building more lonely.

Visitors can only walk around to admire the beauty left on the outside of the building, going inside the Palace is strictly prohibited to ensure safety.
