The Minera Hot Springs is comprised of a collection of 70 gushing spouts ranging from 40° – 82° C. Collectively, the gushers create a larger pool of water as well as mud for visitors to use for medicinal purposes. The spring’s therapeutic minerals are sulfur, sodium, silica, and chlorine, which all work to improve circulation and rheumatism.

These springs were also named as 1 of 65 sustainable developments for ecotourism in the world by the World Travel Organization in 2003. Surrounded by pathways through the forest and a beautiful canopy of leaves, the fresh air is moist with steam from the springs, proving visitors with an earthy fragrance.

Interestingly enough, there is a local myth about how this hot spring was formed. According to legend, the Vietnamese “Goddess of Boiling Water” became furious that her husband was away hunting for too long. In her anger, she threw away a pot of boiling water which landed where the hot springs are still flowing today.

Each spring bath has its own charm and personality. For instance, Springs Casa has intersecting circuits of water exploding from the ground inspired by geysers while the Onsen House was constructed for the traditional Japanese hot springs soaking method.

If you visit the Around the World Spa, you will find different pools and soaking areas inspired by seven different cultures: Turkish, French, Finnish, German, Greek, Vietnamese, and Oriental. Each bath was designed to transport visitors to the country it represents.
