It is because of this long-standing lace-making profession that in Burano there is also a lace museum. Lace museum is located in Galuppi square at Torcello’s Podestà palace in Burano. In the past (from 1872 to 1970), the palace was a school for crocheting. At the museum, you can learn about the tradition and history of lace making as well as the techniques used by the lacemakers. There are many lace exhibitions going on in this town.
