The beauty and wealth of flora and fauna on Son Tra island newspaper, Da Nang city are portrayed by authentic and artistic images in the photo book ‘Treasures of Son Tra’ just released.
Conducted by the Vietnam Association for the Protection of watersheds and seas, Danang Tourism Association and the Han River Art Photography Club, the 183-page photo book presents the biodiversity of forests and sea in Son Tra Through the themes: The Queen of Primate, Birds, Scenery, Flora and Fauna, Coral Reef and Son Tra Coastal.
In which, in addition to the main highlight is the brown-shanked douc langur dubbed the “queen” primate, ‘Son Tra’s treasure’ also introduces a variety of images of birds and other animals such as monkeys. Pig, chipmunk, lemur, gill.
The book also introduces the beautiful scenery of Son Tra at all times of the day and the myriad of unique flowers such as limp, cool, flower, sim flower, and butterflies, fungi, and coral.
If the langur is beautiful in contemplative and human-like features, birds give photographers colorful photos that our naked eyes have little chance to see …
A place “unique in the world”
Son Tra biodiversity forest has nearly 1,000 species of trees, each season a different flower and leaf color creates a very beautiful landscape, with lush primitive forests, rich flora and fauna. Diversified marine ecosystem with hundreds of hectares of coral reefs, dozens of seaweed beds, and sea grass.
Mr. Ben Rawson, director of the World Conservation Union (WWF) in Vietnam commented: “Son Tra is a unique place in the world. Nang needs to protect and use that diversity to attract tourism and develop sustainably. “
