Thanh Sa Chau Temple – Nam Dinh Church is as beautiful and majestic as in Europe
As one of the most beautiful churches in Nam Dinh, Thanh Sa Chau Temple is becoming an attractive destination attracting many visitors from all over the world.
Nam Dinh is famous throughout the country with a large number of churches. In Nam Dinh, there are hundreds of different large and small churches, including many long-standing ancient churches with unique Western-style Gothic architecture, with many meanings associated with religious history.
Located in Giao Chau commune, Giao Thuy district, Nam Dinh province, Thanh Sa Chau Temple is one of the unique works that attracts many domestic and foreign tourists to visit.
Thanh Sa Chau Temple has a total area of about 13 acres (equivalent to 130,000 m2), built during the French colonial period (1942). Particularly, the church area is 75m long, 25m wide and 22m high.

By the time Father Gioakim Vu Cao Duong was the parish priest, the church was renovated and expanded. Some houses of Quan – Chung house or campus around the project are also newly built.
In 1998, St. GIUSE’s monument was built at the end of the church. After that, the 14 Stations of the Cross continued to be completed (cast as human-sized concrete with reinforced concrete) around the Holy Temple and the entrance to the Temple as well as the row of catechists and religious houses …
After 2 times of repair and embellishment, many areas were newly built, but basically, the church still retains the original architecture.

Every year as a rule, on the 1st of the 15th, the bishop returns to pay homage to St. Joseph, the worker, which is also the day of adoration of the parish of Saint Sa Chau. The ceremony had a very magnificent flower procession and offering, attracting the participation of many local parishioners.
