The journey to find green on the way through Vietnam

Thanh Tuan and Phuoc Duy capture green landscapes in ecological destinations, from Mu Cang Chai bamboo forest to Tra Vinh coconut-lined country roads.

Nguyen Thanh Tuan and Nguyen Phuoc Duy are known to the travel-loving community through their wonderful Vietnam photo diary when traveling together to record the beauty of Vietnam from 2014 to the present.

Phuoc Duy said that on almost all the trips he was always attracted to places with lots of trees. Green Journey is a subtopic of the photo diary. The forest, nature and ecological destinations along with the country… are all saved in the photo archive. Through such ecotourism experiences, the two of you also conveyed the message to protect the environment and surrounding nature.

In the photo, Phuoc Duy checks in by the pristine Su Phi waterfall flowing between the vast green forest in Thong Nguyen commune, Hoang Su Phi district, Ha Giang .

The view of the Goat River season bamboo forest in Mu Cang Chai town , Yen Bai has pristine beauty. An attractive destination with the green color of hundreds of thousands of bamboo trees, like the setting in the swordplay movies.

Long Coc tea plantation , Tan Son district, Phu Tho. The tea hills are shaped like upside-down bowls, located adjacent to them, so they are called Ha Long Bay in the midlands.

Lonely trees in the middle of a peaceful countryside, floating water hyacinth bloom as if holding tourists back in Binh Xuyen district, east of Vinh Phuc province.

In this photo diary, the theme of the journey to find green was chosen by the two of you to experience because the fresh green color of the leaves in the middle of nature helps to make the spirit more comfortable.

Among the destinations, it is impossible to ignore the Cuc Phuong national forest (in the three provinces of Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa and Hoa Binh). In addition to the green space of trees, if visitors visit April-May, they will be on the occasion of the butterfly season along the road in the national park.

Arriving in Da Nang , the two of you visited a more than 800-year-old banyan tree on the Son Tra peninsula. The banyan tree is 22 m high, and the circumference of the main trunk and the cluster of sub trunks is 85 m, which is the first heritage tree of Da Nang city. The tree creates a large green space like a natural air conditioner, making the air cool in the midsummer afternoon.

Thanh Tuan checked-in by the old brick kiln , located in the middle of immense rice fields in Duy Vinh commune, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam. In early 2020, a local bought the old brick kiln, renovate and develop farm tourism. In different seasons, the green color of young rice, the yellow color of ripe rice or the pouring season… all have their own beauty.

Green steppe stretches near Masara hill in Ta Nang commune, Duc Trong district, 80 km from Da Lat mountain town. This is a favorite camping destination on the border of Lam Dong – Binh Thuan, which is also where the Lam Dong plateau begins to gradually decrease in altitude.

“It feels great to be standing in the middle of the vast grassy hills in the cold weather. Camping to watch the stars at night and catch the sunrise brings an unforgettable experience”, Thanh Tuan shared.

The feeling of being close to nature, being at peace, and sheltered by rows of green trees,” he said. The photo was taken in the luxuriant rubber forests in Tay Ninh.

The fields of onion are grown around the houses of the people on Hon Do, Ninh Thuan. Hon Do is located in My Hiep village, Nhon Hai commune, Ninh Hai district, above there are poplar forests and green mossy rocks.

After the summer rains, the mausoleum forest on Mount Tau, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan.

On the journey down to the South, the two friends visited Thanh Tuan’s hometown in Tra Vinh, enjoying the local wind. While wandering on the country road in Con Chim, she met Bich Van (the former owner of the Southern kitchen) carrying passengers to invite guests. Con Chim is located in Chau Thanh district, is a community tourist destination in the middle of Co Chien River, and has a fresh landscape, with strengths in aquaculture and clean agricultural production.
