Two months without infecting the community nCoV

On the morning of November 2, the Ministry of Health did not record a positive case for nCoV, 60 days without community infection.

The total number of cases maintained was 1,180, the number from 1,063. The death toll from Covid-19 was 35, with four deaths after three to four negative tests.

The rest of the patients are being treated at the most stable health facilities, of which 6 tested negative for nCoV the first time, 4 were negative for the second time, and 7 were negative for the third time.

The total number of people in close contact and entry from the epidemic zone is more than 14,000. In which, isolation concentrated in the hospital more than 170; Concentrated isolation is more than 13,000, the rest are at home or in accommodation.

According to the Center for Emergency Response to Public Health Events of Vietnam, the world recorded more than 1.2 million deaths from COV, out of more than 46 million infected. America is the country most severely affected by the epidemic. This is followed by India and Brazil.

In Southeast Asia, Indonesia is the region’s largest epidemic, currently extending large-scale public activities in many major cities until November 25.

Vietnam did not have any cases of infection in the community for two months. Over the past time, the number of new cases are all entries and immediately quarantined.

Over the past month, the Ministry of Health has focused on reviewing and completing quarantine procedures, now the draft has been completed, after consulting the ministries and agencies to issue in the coming time. According to the draft, the new immigration and medical supervision process, visitors to Vietnam are classified into three groups:

– Group one: Vietnamese citizens, foreigners who are relatives of Vietnamese citizens

– Group two: Foreigners who are experts, investors, business managers, high-tech workers, experts and relatives (father, mother, wife, husband, children) who enter Vietnam in, stay for 14 days or more; students, international students.

– Group three: Foreigners entering for diplomatic or official purposes; Foreign experts working in Vietnam for less than 14 days.

In addition to the above groups, others will be authorized by the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and National Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of Covid-19.

According to the draft, all persons entering Vietnam on commercial flights will pay all expenses for transportation, hotel isolation and Covid-19 tests. Particularly, guests entering for diplomatic and official purposes (staying in Vietnam for more than 14 days) will be free of charge, except when required to stay at the hotel upon request.

In addition to the necessary documents, before entry, all three groups above need to have a negative certificate for the nCoV issued by the competent authority 3-5 days before the departure date, must make an electronic medical declaration within 12 hours before departure and setting up the tracking response.

Separate group one and group two need additional registration and have confirmation of reception of the hotel, resort and shuttle service. For group 2, it is also required to have health insurance or to commit to pay the costs in case of Covid-19.

All of these groups, whether concentrated in segregated isolation facilities, hotels, homes, accommodation facilities, etc., must ensure the completion of 14 days of mandatory medical isolation and monitoring. then 14 days, for a total of 28 days.

The Ministry of Health recommends that people continue to well implement the “5K Message”, especially wearing a mask and washing their hands with soap and antiseptic solution.
