Outstanding architecture of Wat Arun
Wat Arun has a height of more than 70m, the surrounding spiers are decorated with small pieces of glass or ceramics, creating a shimmering, splendid splendor. Especially when night falls, Wat Arun is lit with thousands of headlights, creating fanciful, mysterious colors that attract attention.

Wat Arun is designed according to Khmer architecture with 4 corners and a large central corner, representing 5 mountain gods according to Khmer, Buddhist and Hindu beliefs. The first courtyard of Wat Arun has a guardian statue and each corner has a small Khmer-style pagoda. The stone steps leading to the first courtyard are the typical images of birds and animals in Thai architecture. The second courtyard of the temple has a golden and blue spiral-shaped gate roof, connecting to the yellow-orange and brown gates, inside there are 4 statues depicting 4 important events in the Buddha’s life.
