Italy’s Capri is a top tourist destination frequented by celebrities like actor Gwyneth Paltrow and singer Beyoncé. This summer vacation, the family of David Beckham, singer Jennifer Lopez and her boyfriend also chose Capri for their vacation. Where is Carpi Island?
The island of Capri is located in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the Sorrento peninsula, south of the Gulf of Naples in the Campania region of Italy. The island of Capri has been a resort of the nobility since the time of the Roman Republic. Carpi Island is also known as Honeymoon Island because it is an ideal place for newlyweds to enjoy their vacation as well as often the chosen location for luxurious outdoor weddings.
Carpi has 2 towns, the main town of Capri is on the island with the same name. And another less busy town called Anacapri. Tourists can go from the city of Sorrento to the island in about 25 minutes, or from Naples it will take about 45 minutes.
Just ten minutes before the ship arrived at the large harbor of Marina Grande, the island of Capri gradually appeared before her. Houses and shops are built closely from the harbor to the top of the hill. 1. La Grotta Azzurra, a famous destination not to be missed in Capri
La Grotta Azzurra is a natural cave about 60 meters long and about 25 meters wide. The entrance gate is two meters wide and only one meter high. To visit it, you have to board small rowing boats that can accommodate up to 4 people. The sailor will ask you to lie down on the bottom of the boat and will enter the cave to build your momentum with a chain attached to the rock.
The blue color of the water inside the cave is caused by sunlight penetrating the hole below the rock cave. When the light passes through the water, the red reflections are filtered out and only the blue color enters the cave creating a blue light inside the cave.
Relax on the beach at Marina Piccola
Marina Piccola is the best place on Capri to enjoy the beach with stunning views of the island. This smaller marina offers a more serene and unique atmosphere. Pebble beaches instead of sand have clear waters, perfect for swimming in the summer.

In Marina Piccola there are two beautiful stretches of beach, Marina di Mulo and Marina di Pennauro, from which you can have a great view of Faraglioni just offshore. In Italian, Faraglioni means rocks in the middle of the ocean, eroded by waves.
Located right in the heart of the sea, three natural limestone blocks rise up to create a more mysterious and magnificent scene.
These beaches are the most popular on the island, so plan to arrive early and absolutely no later than noon to get a good spot on the beach or rocks to bask in the sun.
Take a chairlift to Monte Solaro
Monte Solaro is the highest point of the island and can be reached by a hiking path or by taking a cable car system from Anacapri, the special feature is that it is not a typical cabin that every visitor sits in. Sit in a chair and enjoy the breathtaking view from the bottom of the mountain to the highest point of the island. But if you are not an adventurous person and are afraid of heights, you should consider it.
Capri has lovely nature and from here you can best see the green of the beautiful trees on the island, the gray of the rocks and the white dots of the boats offshore.
