V. League club reverse decision to fire American striker

Becamex Binh Duong has decided to give Victor Mansaray another chance after firing him for inappropriate behavior and breaking the club's rules.

The club had sacked Mansaray on January 23. Ever since Binh Duong signed Mansaray in December last year, he was marked as a troublemaker with a bad temper who frequently disobeyed coach Phan Thanh Hung.

He was also involved in a heated moment on the field in Binh Duong’s opening V. League game this season against Thanh Hoa FC as he threatened to fight the referee.

Binh Duong planned to sign Ivorian striker Oussou Konan as a replacement for Mansaray.

However, when Mansaray played in what would have been his last match for Binh Duong, he performed quite well, scoring the equalizer in the game that helped the team win 2-1.

This must have played a part in the club deciding to give the 23-year-old player another chance.

Binh Duong’s decision has helped Nam Dinh FC sign Konan.

The 32-year-old striker will be the replacement for Kosovan midfielder Gramoz Kurtaj, who has been released for refusing to play.

Kurtaj was immediately recruited by Thanh Hoa FC, after the club parted ways with Jamaican striker Chevaughn Walsh. It didn’t take much time for Walsh to find a new club, signing up with Hong Linh Ha Tinh.
